PSU LRC and the Office of Academic Resources received Green Office National Award of Excellence 2022 (G-Gold)
The Khunying Long Athakravisunthorn Learning
Resources Center and the PSU Office of Academic Resources received Green Office
National Award of Excellence 2022, passing the criteria for environmental
friendliness, implementing measures and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Mr.
Jatuporn Buruspat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and
Environment presided over the award ceremony, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ophat
Kaosaiyaporn, Director of the Khunying Long Athakravisunthorn Learning Resources
Center, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Somporn Chuai-Aree, Director of the Office of
Academic Resources participated in the ceremony online on 28 March 2023.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment
by the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion held the ceremony under
the concept of G-Green TOWARDS LOW CARBON SOCIETY "aiming for low
carbon" to honor the 263 organizations that passed the evaluation criteria
for environmental friendliness. The organizations were able to implement
measures and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least eight percent, and are
ready to expand cooperation to drive activities to promote sustainable
production and consumption.
A total of 141 units have passed as “excellent”
(G gold); 45 units passed as “very good” (G silver); 59 units passed as “good”
(G copper); while nine units were certified as Green Plus, and 41 products of
G-Upcycle have been certified as environmentally friendly.
The event also featured the academic seminar
“G-Green Power Steps towards a Low Carbon Society” online by representatives of
the G-Green Project 2022, where Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ophat joined as a speaker.
It is also worth noting that in 2021, the
Khunying Long Athakravisunthorn Learning Resources Center and the John F.
Kennedy Library, Academic Resources, have received silver medal for
environmentally friendly green office, and passed the green office
certification (gold medal) in 2022.
