The 16th Japan Education Fair at PSU
The PSU Global Affairs and Corporate
Communication Center successfully organized the 16th Japan Education
Fair on 1 February 2023, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in
Thailand, and the Japan Alumni Association in Southern Thailand. The annual
education fair provides opportunities for local university and high school
students to learn about various ways they can study in Japan.
PSU Assistant President for International Affairs
Asst. Prof. Dr. Wongkot Phuphumirat warmly welcomed all event participants,
including Embassy of Japan representatives led by First Secretary Mr. Uchida
Takeshi; representatives from Japanese universities; the Japan Foundation; the
Japan Students Services Organization (JASSO); and the Old Japan Students’
Association, Thailand (OJSAT). The audience of interested PSU students and
staff members, high school students, and parents attended the hybrid event at
the PSU Learning Resources Center, or online via the Zoom platform.
The 16th Japan Education Fair featured
informative lectures on various topics, such as the Japanese educational
system, and the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships offered to university
and high school students. After the lectures, an experience-sharing session was
held by prior recipients of Japanese government scholarships currently studying
in Japan.
The highlight of the event was the exhibition
introducing leading Japanese universities and institutions such as Kyoto
University, Osaka University, Kanazawa University, Tokai University, the Japan
Foundation, the Embassy of Japan, the Japan Students Services Organization
(JASSO), and the Old Japan Students' Association, Thailand (OJSAT).
PSU has signed agreements on academic
collaboration with the prominent universities in Japan, and has been regularly

research projects, and joint study programs, with Kanazawa University, Hokkaido
University, Osaka University, Ochanomizu University, Toho University, Tokyo
University of Marine Science and Technology, Yokohama National University, and
